I am working on the White Pine cardigan, and I have a question about the pattern instructions. Is there an email address to which I can send a question?
Dear Amy,
I am gearing myself up to starting your beautiful Linney cardigan [my first big project],
and I would appreciate your advice on two matters:
1. Which cast-on method do you recommend for the rib border?
2. When knitting the main body on circ. needles, is it better to join in new yarn at the
edge of the work or at some point within the main body?
I admire your work very much: it has a marvellous modern simplicity, and is never over
contrived. You know what suits you, and it seems to me that you really understand that
less is more when it comes to hand knitting. Your stuff is very, very cool.
Hi Maddie,
Thanks so much for the kind words!. To answer your questions, unless otherwise stated I always use a long tail CO, I think its sometimes called the thumb method too. A tubular CO would look great here but I didn’t use it. When and how I join yarn depends on the yarn its self, with the Remix I did join on the edges as much as possible but I don’t usually do that.
Thanks again,
AC
