Green Mountain Spinnery

Announcing the Green Mountain Spinnery’s 22nd Knitters in the Green Mountains weekend with…

ME!

The retreat will be held in Putney, Vermont from Friday November 2 to Sunday November 4, 2012.

I am putting together a class on Designing with Lace. Using my holistic approach to sweater design we will talk about creating a template for your perfect sweater then select a stitch pattern and adapt it to work for your pattern. We’re also going to talk about and how to work that stitch pattering around shaping and talk about adapting lace patterns for garments.

You will need:

A notebook, pencil and a calculator for this class. I would also recommend you bring a favorite stitch dictionary (or 4) as well as a few sets of needles for swatching (I would recommend US sizes 6-9  for most spinnery yarns but everyone knits differently, and you know best what works for you)
