It is the end of summer.
A week from now I will be herding LC into the station wagon and dropping him off at preschool. As bittersweet as it is to think that end of summer means winter is coming, its can’t come fast enough. I am *so* ready to get back to work.
August hits me this way every year, that back to school, new beginning, time to reinvent your self. The time to get serious feeling comes and I suddenly have the urge to be über productive and good thing too because there is this:
A book. My book, with Interweave Press, still have to pinch my self every time I say that. Getting to this point has been a long process but it is a dream come true. What you’re looking at is actually about 2/3 of a book, there are still a few decisions to be made, yarns to be decided, several that are decided but not ordered, ordered but not arrived. A million little things like that to keep track of.
Now that there is this giant basket of yarn staring me down this whole thing is beginning to feel real. The champagne is kicked, the first projects are (nearly) finished, its time to get another cup of coffee and get down to business.
Want to join me? Now (August 20th) through Sunday (August 26th) lets celebrate the last week of summer, back to school and getting back to work with a 20% off sale on all the Savory Knitting patterns, just enter code “backtoschool” at check out.
