Wool People Volume 3 from Brooklyn Tweed is now available! Its a beautiful collection featuring patterns from so many of my favorite designers that I am still a little surprised to be saying it also includes me!
The Breckon Cardigan uses Loft, the Brooklyn Tweed fingering weight worked at a slightly airier gauge for an Aran inspired cardigan with an ephemeral lightness. All the pattern details can be found on Ravelry or on the Brooklyn Tweed site where you can download the Look Book and find the incomparable Loft yarn.

So lovely. It looks like a perfect layering piece.
Everytime I see a pattern I just.have.to.knit.right.this.second., I look to see who designed it and 99% of the time, it’s one of yours. Kudos on another great design!
Your work gets better and better! Swoon.
I love the sweater! But I’ll have to figure out a way to size it down. How deep is the armscye in the smallest size? Please say 7.5 inches.
Thank you so much Susan! The sizes they listed on ravelry are a little off, by about an inch, but anyway I have some thoughts I can share with you about downsizing this one-
1st the sleeves will be WAY too long
2nd if using Loft yarn don’t downsize it too much, Loft is a little tender. But you could remove 4 sts each from the fronts and 4 from each side (8) from the back (in the textured stitch section) for a 32″
3rd, if you sub the yarn and down gauge it should work out perfect for a 32-32 depending on the yarn (and not forgetting those sleeves)
Your sweater was featured in the teaser posts from Brooklyn Tweed – and by the time the book was released, I couldn’t not buy it – and though I considered other colors, realized that it was the beautiful combination of earthy color and delicate pattern that had beguiled me — so I’ll be a copy-cat, mostly. Lovely.
The color the pattern and the yarn couldn’t be more perfect together, this might be my favorite thing I’ve ever knit!
i love this so much!
oh, and i miss you! we should hang out and knit soon. i’ll just have the little one in tow from now on
