Its a new yarn from Lorna’s Laces, a sock weight super wash wool blended with a fiber called Outlast- which was designed by NASA engineers to thermoregulate the body. I was over-the-moon thrilled to be asked to design something for this yarn, which is soft and slinky. It feels similar to a silk or bamboo blend, but with a nice wooly bounce to it and just-enough bloom to the fibers after washing. The pattern for the pullover will be available by the end of this week and a cardigan variation on the theme is in the works, (hopefully available in a few weeks). But I can’t help it… this space-yarn just reminds me of something… a line… from the 8th grade:

Space age yarn. Sounds great and the sweater almost looks like one of my favorite comfy sweaters (store bought).
