Preheat oven to 400 degrees F
Blend together in a medium sized bowl:
2c all purpose flour, 1 1/2 tsp baking powder, 2 tbsp sugar, 1 1/4 tsp salt, 1 star anise pulverized, 1″ knob of fresh ginger finely grated
knead in 1 stick of unsalted butter (cubed)
stir in 1 pear, cored and cubed
stir in 1/2 c plain yogurt mixed with 3 tsp milk
divide into 6 equal lumps and bake 25-30 min.
